Administration and Finances

GTFA is the abbreviation of "George Thomas Football Academy" registered in 2003 under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific, and Charitable Societies Act of 1955, bearing registration number P690/03. GTFA uses for its home field a ground that is part of the properties in Munnattukara owned by Dr. George R. Thomas. The ground is, therefore, the private property of Dr. Thomas. Use of the ground is by permission granted on a year by year basis for the exclusive use of playing football and conducting an annual football tournament. As such, no other activity is permitted on the field. Animal grazing or walking on the field are strictly forbidden.

GTFA is governed by a committee consisting of a president, a secretary, a treasurer, and a manager. Dr. Thomas serves as the patron providing partial funding.

GTFA incurs annual expenses of Rs 210,000 as follows:
Rs. 150,000  --  Annual 7-day Invitational Tournament
Rs.  5,000   --  Coaching fees
Rs. 20,000  --  Football League expenses
Rs. 15,000  --  Uniforms and football boots for team members, and soccer balls
Rs.  20,000  --  Stadium maintenance
